ure gutenbergThe Reproduction Unit of Gutenberg Centre (REU) was launched in Malaga in 1987 as part of the Gynaecological Clinic, Gutenberg Centre (specialized centre in the integral studies of women).

From the very beginning, the aim of Dr. M. Martínez Moya, founder and Director of REU, has been to surround himself with the most qualified team and the most advanced technical equipments so that it could be at the forefront of the Assisted Reproduction Treatments (ART). Thanks to the diagnostic-therapeutic methods and assisted reproduction treatments developed by this Unit, in the last twenty years many couples with sterility problems have already achieved their object and have children now.

The achievements of the centre, published in the principal Scientific Societies of Fertility, guarantee the Unit’s efforts in giving the best assistance to those couples who face this type of problems.

At present the Unit performs all type of assisted reproduction treatments, from the simplest ones, like the Postcoital Test and the artificial insemination, to the most advanced ones, like the in vitro fertilization by sperm microinjection (ICSI) and the Preimplantational Genetic Diagnostic (PGD). The Unit has Donation programs such as of semen (Sperm Bank), ovum or embryo.

In 2006 the Reproduction Unit of Gutenberg Centre (Ltd.) was evaluated and certified for having complied with the requirements of the quality directives ISO  9001:2008 and with those of the environmental protection directives ISO 14001:2004 for Assisted Reproduction Treatments, Gynaecology and Obstetrics. The Unit is committed to the continuous improvement of the quality of its service and the assistance for its patients.
